yay

after 6 days of driving, we're in our new place. it's super cute. and much to our relief, there's a washer/dryer! yippee.

they have a tiny little dog that bud chased around. the dog looks like a gremlin. huge ears.

we stayed in a ghetto fabulous super 8 last night. the bed was a full. i didn't even know motels had full beds anymore. and the maid had put the fitted sheet on (or did not put it on, as the case may be) sideways. which exposed the ghetto fabulous plastic covering on the bed.

so sean & bud slept on the floor (which nate took a big ol crap on this morning) and nate & I in the bed.

once nate went to sleep last night, we ate outside, directly next to the freeway off-ramp on a tranformer box. so, it was a ghetto fabulous picnic

it's swell here. or maybe it's swell not to be in the car anymore.
of course, our stuff is a day late, so we'll be camping on the hardwood tonight

nate did a great job on the drive. and all of a sudden, he started babbling like mad yesterday. and we think he even said "dada" to sean! and took a few steps walking between us at a pitstop.
