cabin, Nate's birthday party with his new school friends

As Nate told us, he got to celebrate his birthday a lot this time around...
We had a grand time in MT even if the weather didn't entirely cooperate. It was good enough that when Nate had the time to make a wish, he wished we could come back. Oh how I miss those mountains

One day, Nate made a pair of cardboard binocolars and looked through them at Kinley, "Who's THAT cute baby?" :)

And then we had fun yesterday at what is now the tradition of apple picking for Nate's birthday. It was a windy one, but quite fun and I forgot how much more yummy really fresh apples are!

ring around the rosy
On the way back from the party in the car, he decided that it wasn't a good idea to have birthday cake since it wasn't good for us. Maybe we should have had birthday pancakes instead, he suggested...
